YADOO · PRIVACY NOTICE

Yadoo Privacy Notice

Effective 3 November 2026 · Applies to the Yadoo beta, including the optional Family Cloud beta
This English translation is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Chinese version, the Chinese version prevails.

1. Who we are

Yadoo is developed by Zhang Jiesong and operated by Sichuan Two Pixel Technology Co., Ltd. For privacy questions, access requests or deletion requests, email aaroniuaw@icloud.com. Please include only the information needed to handle your request.

ICP filing: 蜀ICP备2025166789号 (website yadoocare.com).

2. Information stored on your device

Yadoo helps caregivers log and look back on everyday care. You can fill in your child’s name and birthday, and records such as feeding, sleep, nappies, water, growth, temperature, observations, medication, doctor visits, vaccines, schedules and custom entries. You can also keep information about the mother and this pregnancy, household supplies and preparation checklists.

This information may include health and other private details about your child or the mother. Please enter only what you actually need. Optional fields can be left blank, and times or amounts you cannot remember can be left unknown. Mother, pregnancy and baby information are kept separate by ownership; they are not automatically shared with family just because they relate to the same baby. This version does not provide separate access profiles for different caregivers using the same device.

On-device records do not require registration or sign-in. If Family Cloud is not enabled, care records, photos and backups are not automatically uploaded to a server. The local database is not separately encrypted as a whole; the app relies on the device’s app storage and the protection provided by the operating system. Please protect your device and unlock method.

3. Optional Family Cloud

Family Cloud is an optional beta feature and is off by default. Information leaves your device only after you actively create an account, join or create a family, and choose to share. The website yadoocare.com is live and has completed ICP filing (蜀ICP备2025166789号).

3.1 Account: the current beta uses invitation codes with a username and password of your choice; email or phone verification may be added later. We store the account identifier, a password derivation result, session tokens, invitation-code status and necessary security logs. We do not store plaintext passwords. Session tokens are kept in system secure storage such as iOS Keychain, Android Keystore or HarmonyOS HUKS, and are not written into care backups.

3.2 Family and shared care: when you create or join a family, we store the family name, member roles, invitations and necessary activity records. The first shared scope currently includes only: standalone water/notes, feeding, sleep/night waking, growth, nappies, and the baby’s name and birthday. Mother, pregnancy and full profile notes are not automatically shared with the baby. Shared content is visible to family members. Family Cloud is not end-to-end encrypted; the server can access content to the extent necessary to provide sync and recovery.

3.3 Baby album: you may choose to post text, photos, videos and dates, and family members may like, comment or add their own entries. Uploaded originals are stored on the server and are visible to family members and invited album guests according to their roles. Please do not upload sensitive content unrelated to care.

3.4 Private encrypted backup: if you want protection when changing devices, you can separately upload an encrypted .yadoo backup. The backup is encrypted in the app with AES-256-GCM; you set the password and it is kept only by you. The server stores only the encrypted file and does not receive the backup password. Restoring a download still requires the original password and confirmation.

3.5 Current status: Family Cloud remains an invitation-only beta. The website yadoocare.com is live and has completed ICP filing (蜀ICP备2025166789号); the Family Cloud service and the App filing are still in progress. Before public launch we will update this notice to reflect the actual deployment. During the beta, please do not upload real sensitive information unrelated to testing.

4. Photos, videos and files

When you add an attachment, Yadoo uses the system picker to read the photo, video or file you select, stores its content, name and related description on your device, and links it to the record, child, pregnancy or family item you chose. Importing attachments is not required to use everyday records.

Attachments are stored as provided, and information carried by the original file may also be retained. If you preview, save or share a file through the system or another app, that service handles its copy under its own rules.

5. Notifications and home-screen widgets

When you need system reminders, Yadoo requests notification permission and hands the reminder to the device to schedule. Notifications may show item information on the lock screen or in Notification Centre; you can adjust permissions and preview settings in the system. Denying notifications does not affect on-device records.

To display home-screen widgets, Yadoo generates display summaries and information needed for widget actions on the device, such as names, items, times, amounts, status and related record identifiers. The summary is not the full care database, and this on-device sharing is not an upload to the cloud. Removing a widget does not delete the underlying care records.

6. Export, sharing, correction and deletion

When you export, save a backup or share, the app creates a file and hands it to the system file service or receiving app you choose. Readable materials, plain-text backups and attachment originals are not automatically encrypted just because they were exported from Yadoo; old export files do not update automatically when you correct something in the app.

The optional encrypted .yadoo backup uses AES-256-GCM with a password you set. Yadoo cannot recover a lost backup password.

You can correct or withdraw records. Withdrawing, archiving or removing an attachment link is not the same as permanent deletion. To preserve history and avoid mistakes, the original value, correction records, attachment originals or pre-restore copies may remain on your device, and may be included in full backups or cloud operational backups.

To delete all local data, delete the app and its app data in the device settings. When you delete a cloud account or family, the app handles private encrypted backups, family relationships, shared facts and album originals separately under the current rules. After you leave a family or delete an account, facts already contributed to the family and albums may remain with an anonymous author. If a family still has content, the administrator must first transfer administration or explicitly delete the entire cloud family and shared content.

Server operational backups are used for disaster recovery and currently have no automatic deletion period. Deleting an online account or family does not immediately erase historical operational backups. You can send an access or deletion request to the email below.

7. Beta distribution and feedback

If you install Yadoo through Apple TestFlight, Huawei AppTest or an Android beta, the distribution platform collects crash logs, installation and usage information under its own rules and provides some test data to developers. Feedback text, screenshots and diagnostic information you submit are also used to troubleshoot, reply and improve Yadoo. Feedback screenshots or attachments may contain information about your child, the mother or a doctor visit; please mask anything unrelated before sending, and never share your backup password. For details, see Apple’s “TestFlight & Privacy”: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/test-flight/.

Feedback and diagnostic copies retained by the developer are used only to handle and improve the relevant issue and are deleted within 90 days after the issue is resolved. Data held by Apple, Huawei and other platforms is governed by their own rules; the developer’s retention period is not a commitment by those platforms. Test data held by Apple is governed by Apple’s rules.

8. Third parties, advertising and data sales

The current version has no advertising, third-party analytics or profiling SDKs. Distribution, account verification, SMS (once enabled) and server hosting may rely on infrastructure from Apple, Huawei, Google, SMS providers and cloud server providers, which process necessary data under their own rules. We do not sell your care information or use children’s information for advertising.

The Family Cloud beta uses servers maintained by the developer. Apart from family members viewing shared content by role and processing necessary for operations and disaster recovery, information is not provided to unrelated third parties.

9. Children and guardians

Children’s information is entered by the caregiver who actually uses the app. Guardians decide whether to record information, what to record and whether to enable Family Cloud. Yadoo does not offer separate accounts for children and does not use children’s information for advertising or profiling. If you believe a child’s information has been shared incorrectly, contact us by email.

10. Changes and contact

This notice applies to the current beta. If we introduce new data uses, change the scope of cloud services, add third-party services or make other material changes, we will update this notice and its effective date and tell you in the app or on this page. An older notice will not be treated as broader consent, and this notice cannot be used to authorise broader processing.
